Camps & Retreats
All students across the school attend Camps and Retreats. Each Year Level camp has a particular focus and differ in the activities offered to the girls.
Year 8 Camp is held early in the year with the major focus being on ‘getting to know you’ activities. The camp is held on the Sunshine Coast and enables the girls to meet and mix with others in the cohort.
Year 9 Camp is held in the Woodford area and has a more outdoor focus. Girls are challenged through activities run by a external group, ‘Adventure Alternatives’.
Year 10 Camp is held near Helidon and the girls learn to work in teams and realise their own talents through group work and co operation.
Each of the Years 8 - 10 year groups also attend a one day Retreat held at the school organised through the Deputy Principal Director of Mission and the Religious Education Coordinator.
Year 11 Leadership Retreat is based around the differing types of Leadership, with the girls discovering their own and others’ leadership potential as they prepare to become Student Leaders. This Retreat is held at Mt Tambourine.
Year 12 Retreat is held in Mapleton and allows the girls to examine their relationships with each other, their families and God.
These Camps and Retreats are compulsory activities and attendance is expected.
