Languages

The Languages Department provides and promotes the authentic experience of language learning and an understanding of the associated cultures with the aim that students can immerse themselves in the language outside of the classroom situation.

An appreciation of the Japanese and French way of life and culture is gained fostering the role of intercultural competence in our diverse society.  Globalisation is an established trend resulting in careers (tourism, trade, manufacturing, science and technology, the arts, education and international affairs) inevitably involving the use of a Language other than English. 

Language students at Stuartholme are prepared for the next stage of life, taking with them an international perspective, which matures and broadens their horizons.
