Religious Education

The overall ethos and character of the school forms a rich backdrop to Stuartholme’s Religious Education program. The Goals of Sacred Heart Education draw upon Gospel values and are the fruit of more than two centuries of vision, experience and reflection. In addition to the three class periods each week of Religious Education, many school activities directly contribute to the fostering of Christian spirituality and Catholic traditions within the life of our community.

Through structured learning programmes, the Religious Education Programme is directed towards the development of students’ religious literacy. It is based on the Archdiocese of Brisbane Religious Education Guidelines.

Study of Religion

The academic Study of Religion investigates a variety of world religions for the purpose of understanding the diversity of beliefs and practices, and in consideration of Australia’s pluralist and multi-cultural society.
