Science

The junior science program has the dual goals of developing the scientific and technological literacy of students to meet the increasing need for their understanding the role science in everyday lives, and also to prepare students for further studies in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Years 11 and 12, and eventually at the tertiary level.  

Within the Senior Phase of Learning, an academic and critical approach is expected in the study of science subject with assessment focusing on the dimensions of understanding, investigating and evaluating.

The course is organised and structured to assist all students to reach their full potential.  Meanwhile, students are given the opportunity and encouragement to work individually and independently in preparation for tertiary studies.
